Retail System Scenario Modeling Using Fuzzy Cognitive Maps

A retail business is a network of similar-format grocery stores with sole proprietor and well-established logistical infrastructure. The stable market, low growth, limited customer revenues, intense competition. On the system level, industry dynamic that challenging to represent due uncertainty, nonlinearity, imprecision. Due heterogeneous character systems, direct scenario modeling arduous. In this article, we propose framework for planning allows managers analyze effect different quantitative qualitative factors using fuzzy cognitive maps. Previously published models were extended by adding external combining expert knowledge domain research results. We determined most suitable composition operators system, highlighted system’s influential concepts, how responds changes in factors. proposed aims support senior management conducting flexible long-term company’s strategic development, reach its desired goals.
